The Kid Dance Brigade After-School Program
At Glenwood, Sun Valley, and Lucas Valley Elementary

The KDB experience guides children into exploring musicality, performance and the athletics of dance while encouraging creativity, collaboration and self-confidence. Every semester has a focus on new material, the last class is a show.

In Kid Dance Brigade, kids get to explore a wide mix of fun and structured activities: free dance, freeze dance, moving to the beat with coordination games, making shapes in sequences, the eight core patterns of movement, locomotor skills (like skipping, galloping, and hopping), isolations, creative movement, partner work, group activities, props, and even short performance pieces.
Along the way, they naturally build a sense of rhythm and musicality, express themselves with theatrical flair, grow stronger and more athletic, and start developing both a “dancer’s eye” for movement and a “musician’s ear” for music.

The KDB Barbie, Sing, Encanto, & Hamilton Summer Camp provides one week of fun-filled immersion into popular and easy-to-follow dance routines for incoming 1st-5th graders. Campers will have a blast with Mr. Tom’s two dance classes per day, art-making, outdoor play, and other activities.
Located at the San Rafael Community Center with ample indoor & outdoor space, we will make friends, laugh together and feel great all week!
